Being Grateful | Thanksgiving 2017

Thursday, November 23, 2017

Not just during Thanksgiving but each day I think about the million and one blessings in my life.  My life is simple but full  of beautiful people who make my life complete. Each year my heart is very grateful that I am being given the blessings of my parents in their old age, siblings, friends for life and family. I am grateful for being with a good man in a  happy and loving relationship, a job that makes me excited to go to work everyday and brings me satisfaction, a warm and cozy home, cuddly cat, and a table that is always laden with delicious meals that are more than enough to share with others. Life feels safe and my days are fun and fabulous because of my BFF, my sisters and friends for life. My healthy baby nephews and niece give me joy each time.  The list goes on and on. And this Thanksgiving, I feel truly blessed for life and health as I was drinking my coffee and eating a slice pumpkin pie baked by a family friend.

Special blessings to remember this year in addition to the most important ones I already mentioned above are:

1) Expensive home repairs but the financial abilities to pay for them

2) My brand new Jeep after my old car started giving me  troubles but I am also able to keep it

3) Two successful business trips this year to San Antonio, Texas and Las Vegas that were fun and turned into a vacation

4) Keeping me from witnessing a traumatic incident and keeping me safe from another scary situation which really made me realize how precious life is

5) Being pronounced healthy with normal blood sugar levels again after being diagnosed with pre-diabetes two years ago. Healthier lifestyle and eating habits paid off!

5) My parents' visit in December

And what is as delicious as a slice of pumpkin pie with coffee for breakfast on Thanksgiving morning?

1) Mr Sweetie taking care of Thanksgiving shopping! I did not have to brave the long lines of last minutes shoppers! Yay! He got us stuffed turkey breast, rib roast, pumpkin and apple pies for Thanksgiving. I am cooking the turkey breast right now, and will cook the rib roast tomorrow for us. More eating at the in-law's house this evening. He also got me Alaskan crab legs for the weekend detox after stuffing ourselves on Thanksgiving. (He even bought me 2 scarves!)

2) Waking up to these texts from my best gals that really make me feel so blessed:
Life is great. I am thankful for all of God's blessings each and everyday. Instead of leaving a quote, here is a link to lovely ones.

Even if you do not celebrate this holiday, what are you most grateful for?

 Happy Thanksgiving!
