FRIDAY AT THE SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

We saw my mom and dad off at the SFO on Friday night for their flight to the Philippines. I went straight to the airport from work also in SF.  We had an hour before my mom, dad, brother and sis-in-law arrived. Opportunity for instant date night! Mr Sweetie already ate since he got to the airport an hour before I got there. We still sat at a bar where I ordered fries and really nice chilled prosecco which were all I ever wanted for dinner. It was a nice hour of Fridate just chilling and people watching while waiting for my family.

My family arrived with our parents at around 8:00 pm. We checked them in and waited until they went through security at 9:00 pm. We did not stick around because their flight was not until 12:45 am! It was bittersweet. We did not cry this time unlike on their previous flights back to the Philippines. They were here with us in the US for 7 months and we are looking forward to their return again next year, God-willing.

SATURDAY PIZZA AND NETFLIX DATE NIGHT

It has been a late Friday night and an exhausting week that we decided to chill and stay in. Mr Sweetie ordered pizza from Mountain Mike's -- pepperoni and sausage pizza and cheese bread for him and veggie pizza for me. This has been our first pizza meal in months as we have really been trying to be mindful of what we eat. It was a nice treat and I also really enjoyed the restful time with Mr Sweetie while watching a mindless movie "Truth or Dare"(2018). (His movie choice, not mine!)

Free Brand New Books at the Public Library

I have said it time and again, I am a big fan of the San Francisco Public Library. For a limited time until the end of August, SFPL is giving out brand new books in partnership with JetBlue's Soar with Reading Initiative. A vending machine is set up at the library and books for different age groups are given out for FREE! The titles change every two weeks. How cool is that! I got a couple of books for my 2 year old nephew and a couple of brand new copies of "To All The Boys I Loved Before" for me and BFF. I was ecstatic when I saw the title as it has been on my to-read list. Since I read pretty much anything, I could not resist getting a copy of "The Dork Diaries #1" as well. I have not read it yet but I love the graphics.

FLOWERS FROM THE FARMERS MARKET

A quick jaunt to the Wednesday Farmers Market in San Francisco on my way to work was a lovely start of my work day. I also picked up a pot of flowers. Simple joys.

LITTLE FREE LIBRARIES AND  TAKING A NEW MORNING ROUTE

I love Little Free Libraries all over the neighborhood. I saw this one when I took a new morning route to the train station.
