My birthday this year has been one of my best birthdays ever because I got to celebrate it with my mom and dad as well. It is not every birthday when my parents are in the US with us.
I am so blessed that I have been born to a very loving family. My brother and sister-in-law hosted my birthday lunch. They asked me how I wanted to celebrate my birthday. I told them that I just wanted something simple as my entire family and I have been eating out a lot since our parents are here. My sister in law cooked the meal. She asked me what I wanted and I requested pansit (noodles), menudo and lumpia (eggrolls). She also made fettucine alfredo for the kids. It was a delicious birthday lunch on Sunday after church. Everyone was there except Mr Sweetie. (He was disappointed that I did not ask him to come! Well, I did not know what to expect and what time lunch would be. He was with his family that day.)
There are 3 February babies in the family -- myself, my brother and niece. We all blew the birthday candles together. The tres leches cake was delicious.
I am thankful for the blessings and love of my parents, family and being able to celebrate not just my birthday but my loved ones as well.
