Weekly Joys #6

Thursday, July 19, 2018

I am skipping the last two weeks of June as I was in New Orleans travelling for work. Stay tuned for lovely travel posts. In the mean time, here are the highlights of this week:

THURSDAY JOY: JULY 4TH HOLIDAY

July 4th Holiday at home. This was my breakfast of red, white and blue. I had a warm croissant that my mom gave me, blueberries and cherry jelly. So yummy with coffee! I cooked  burgers for later for our dinner which turned out to be some delicious burgers! It was a lazy and fun day for me and Mr Sweetie. It was Netflix binge all day  including Kingsman: The Golden Circle. We had fireworks but we decided to not light them as the neighbors did not.

FRIDAY JOY:  BFF MUSEUM DATE WITH MAGRITTE

Fun museum Fridate with BFF at SFMOMA where we saw the Rene Magritte Exhibit. Magritte is the artist famous for his  fascination with the bowler hat and apple. This exhibit has been my favorite among all the artwork that I have seen since I became a museum member two years ago.

BEING SPOILED BY BFF JOYS: BAG AND SUNGLASSES

After we enjoyed the paintings, we exchanged treats.   BFF spoils me as always with the cutest stuff such as this "Today is a good day for DONUTS" bag and sunglasses. I am a lucky gal!

SATURDAY JOY: FUN KOREAN DATE NIGHT

Korean Fusion  at Azit for date night. This place is not your traditional Korean food. The flavors are fun. Stay tuned for restaurant review of this Oakland eatery.

SUNDAY JOY:  LUNCH WITH MOM AND DAD

Fries galore at Red Robin with my mom and dad for our Sunday lunch after church and shopping at TJ Maxx and Ross. My parents had tortilla soup, chicken salad and I shared my fish & shrimps with chips with them. And the fries just kept on coming. They were not happy with the meal so next time I know! They wished Japanese food instead.

HARVEST JOY: ZUCCHINIS AND CUCUMBERS

Fresh zucchinis from my aunt's boyfriend's urban garden. My mom sent me home with a bunch of these veggies.  They were delicious and I have been putting zucchini in everything. I might even be able to finally bake that zucchini bread that has been on my Mason Jar List forever.

Such a lovely week of fun and a nice mid-week holiday break!
